Langdon nets 19 in Game 1 win (Basketball)
The road to the Euroleague Final Four began Wednesday in Moscow, where Anchorage’s Trajan Langdon dropped in 19 points to help hometown CSKA win Game 1 in Group G of the Top 16 playoffs.
The Russian champion beat Spanish powerhouse Unicaja 86-78, leading from start to finish.
Langdon, of East High fame, sank 7 of 11 field goals, including two of three 3-pointers. The 6-foot-3 guard added three steals and three rebounds.
The Alaskan averaged 14.9 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.3 assists in Euroleague play this season.
He is looking to make his sixth career trip to the Finals. He is a two-time Euroleague champion and former Final Four MVP.
