Anchorage’s Tommy Hobbs is earning high marks for his work ethic at La Jolla Prep Basketball Academy in California. The 6-foot-7 forward out of South High is a starter and recently had a 30-point night. “Once I came to La Jolla, I saw that there is a lot I need to improve on and I haven’t taken a day off of practice since,” he told Left Coast Recruiting. “I’ve put on 20 pounds of muscle and gotten much quicker. I’m dedicated to improving my game. I want to work as hard as I can to be literally the best I can be. My roommates get so annoyed by me making late night protein shakes or doing sit ups at midnight.”
