Ellis produces third double-double for Central Methodist

Jesse Ellis BasketballJesse Ellis of Skagway remains to be a shine of light on an otherwise dark season for Central Methodist.

The team has dropped 8 of 11 conference games, but Ellis has performed like a first-team all-star.

The senior guard leads the NAIA Heart of America Athletic Conference in free-throw percentage [.875] and ranks second in field-goal percentage [.506], eighth in assists [3.2], ninth in rebounds [7.2] and 17th in scoring [11.7].

She delivered her third double-double of the season with 13 points and 11 rebounds in a 63-54 loss to Baker in Missouri.

Ellis, of Skagway High fame, has scored 407 points in 40 career games at Central Methodist. She transferred there after playing two seasons at Peninsula College in Washington.
