Klie pumps in 19 against third-ranked D2 team in the country

Adam Klie of Anchorage continues to attack the basket and good things continue to happen.

The 6-foot-4 guard went 7-of-10 from the foul line on his way to scoring a season-high 19 points for No. 14 UC San Diego in a 67-63 loss to No. 3 Western Oregon in a NCAA D2 battle of unbeatens in La Jolla, California.

Klie, of Service High fame, made 6-of-9 field goals and added five rebounds and three assists in 33 minutes.

This was the fourth time in eight games this year that he’s had 17 points or more.

He leads the Tritons in scoring [15.1 ppg], assists [29], free throws [29] and free throw attempts [39] on the season.

Klie surpassed the 700-point plateau for his career.
