Just a freshman, Emmie Jennings of Eagle River is already shaping up to be one of the best swimmers at Boise State University.

Her productivity was on display during a recent NCAA D1 tri-meet with Nevada and Northern Arizona in Boise, Idaho.

Jennings, of Chugiak High fame, was the team’s third-fastest swimmer in two individual events and was part of the school’s third-fastest 200-yard medley relay team.

She was fifth out of 11 women in the 100 freestyle with a time of 52.97 seconds.

Jennings finished sixth out of 10 swimmers in the 50 free in 24.39.

She was also the anchor leg on Boise State’s 200 medley team that clocked a 1:48.85.
