Adam Klie of Anchorage broke a school record, but he’ll care more about helping UC San Diego get the win.

The Tritons ran away from Cal State East Bay in an 84-45 win in La Jolla, California, on a night when the 6-foot-4 senior guard moved into first on the school’s all-time list with 569 career rebounds.

Klie, of Service High fame, needed just two boards and finished with six to surpass Justin Brue, who hauled in 564 between 2009 and 2013.

The Alaskan leads UC San Diego in points [314], rebounding [151], assists [97], minutes [31.5] and field-goal percentage [.481].

The NCAA D2 team has won 17 of 23 games this season, including a 10-2 mark to sit in first place in the California Collegiate Athletic Association.
