Kuiper scores 12 points in return from broken nose, concussion
The sophomore guard came off the bench to score 12 points as the Lobos beat Air Force 74-67 in Colorado Springs, Colorado, for the first time since 2012.
Kuiper, of Wasilla High fame, drained 4-of-5 3-pointers to contribute his first double-figure performance in five games. He hadn’t played since Jan. 28.
The 6-foot-7 swingman is shooting the 3 at a .426 clip, which is among the top two percentages on the team.
Kuiper now ranks third on the team with a 7.0 scoring average in just 20.9 minutes per game.
He has earned a career-high 11 starts in 20 games this season.
