After taking small steps of improvement in the last few seasons, Italy’s Moncada Solar Agrigento turned to Hydaburg’s Damen Bell-Holter to take the next step.

The 6-foot-9 first-year forward helped the team earn a franchise-best fourth-place finish in West division and snag a berth to the Serie B playoffs.

Agrigento [17-13] will face F. Konatatto Bologna [18-12] in the best-of-3 series April 30.

Bell-Holter, of Ketchikan High fame, averaged 12.7 points and 6.9 rebounds in 30 games during the regular season.

He bagged six double-doubles, shot 51 percent from the floor and sank a total of 29 3-pointers.

Bell-Holter played previously in Finland, Turkey and with the Maine Red Claws of the NBA D-League.
