It took Travante Williams half the season to prove he’s all that.

The rookie from Anchorage highlighted the Eurobasket.com All-Georgian A League selections despite playing in only eight of his team’s 15 games.

The 6-foot-4 scoring machine averaged 32 points for Tskaltubo and was named Forward of the Year, Import of the Year and First Team All-League in the country sandwiched between Europe and Asia.

Williams, of Mt. Edgecumbe fame, averaged 10.3 rebounds per game to complete his double-double average for the season.

In a span of three games in February, he averaged a Kobe-like 40.3 points thanks to one game with 48 and another with 50. He sank 41 fields goals in that stretch.

The season before, as a first team all-conference, second team all-region senior at UAF, he averaged 18.7 points with a career high of 35.
