She’s from Alaska, but Kelsey Griffin looks like she’s played with the Australia Opals forever.

The naturalized Aussie citizen has nearly averaged a point per minute in her first two appearances with the national team at the FIBA Asia Open in India.

Griffin, of Chugiak High fame, debuted with a game-high 15 points in 18 minutes in a strong 78-54 win over Korea in the opening game.

In the second game, she contributed nine points and five rebounds in just 10 minutes in a 107-65 rout of the Philippines.

The 6-foot-2 forward is a starter for the Opals.

Griffin is a star for Australia’s Bendingo Spirit as one of the best players in the WNBL.
