Anchorage’s Caleb Holley returned to the football field for the Saskatchewan Roughriders and made an immediate impact.

The 26-year-old wide receiver had missed the previous three games with a left shoulder injury, the same side he injured during training camp.

Holley, of East High fame, finished with two catches for 25 yards and a touchdown in a 38-27 victory over the Toronto Argonauts during Week 6 action in the Canadian Football League.

The 6-foot-4 wideout saw his first target in the second quarter when he caught an 11-yard pass for a first down.

In the fourth quarter, he hauled in a 14-yard touchdown grab for his team’s final score.

Holley’s return is key for the Roughriders. He’s coming off a strong rookie season, when he had 56 receptions for 655 yards and two touchdowns in 11 games.

This season started well as he caught five passes for 55 yards in Week 1 and five more for 74 yards and a touchdown in Week 2 before the injury.
