Anchorage’s Willy Homza continues to flirt with one of the most sacred statistics in baseball.

The cleanup hitter is batting .375 in 30 games with the Rockville Rock Hounds of the wood-bat California Collegiate League.

Homza, of South High fame, isn’t just spraying the ball around the field.

He’s ripping the ball in the gaps and knocking it out of the park.

In the last three weeks alone Homza has 10 extra-base hits on six doubles and four home runs.

Homza is also reaching base at a .455 clip, thanks in part to having nearlys as manys walks [15] as strikeouts [19].

He is tied for the team lead in RBIs with 27.
