Willy Homza of Anchorage went to the California Collegiate League in search of consistent playing time.

He found that and so much more with the Rockville Rock Hounds.

The Brown University standout capped his sensational summer by winning MVP honors at Rockville’s season-ending tournament.

Homza, of South High fame, hit .350 with a home run, two doubles and six RBIs to help the Hounds go 4-1 for the tournament.

The cleanup hitter was a triple-crown threat for his team, ranking first or second in batting average [.366], home runs [6] and RBIs [38].
