Ariela Lewis of Anchorage has scored more goals and racked up more assists than any other player in NCAA D1 women’s soccer.

The Alabama State University senior striker is the country’s career leader with 53 goals and 134 points. She ranks fourth with 28 assists.

Lewis, of Dimond High fame, has continued her scoring spree this season with eight goals in 12 games.

She’s netted five goals in her last five games, including two scores and her first assist of the season in a 4-1 win over Howard last week.

That performance earned Lewis the Southwestern Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week award.

Last year she was the SWAC Co-Offensive Player of the Year.

On the NCAA active career list, Lewis owns a 20-point advantage and 9-goal edge over No. 2 Martha Thomas of the University of North Carolina Charlotte heading into the second half of the season.

In terms of Alabama State history, Lewis is still chasing her twin sister, Aaliyah, who graduated last year. Aaliyah holds school records for goals [57], assists [33] and points [147].
