Back in the starting lineup for the first time in two months, Anchorage’s Dallas Dickerson rewarded Eckerd College coaches for the vote of confidence.

The former Alaska 3A player of the year drained back-to-back 3-pointers to kickstart a 10-0 run in the first quarter that carried the Tritons to a 62-45 win over Florida Tech in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Dickerson, of Anchorage Christian High fame, finished with eight points and also grabbed five rebounds – twice her season average.

The win came in the quarterfinals of the Sunshine State Conference tournament and helped Eckerd [21-6] advance to the semifinals for the second straight year.

Dickerson missed last season with an injury.

The 5-foot-8 junior guard is 33-for-87 from 3-point land and this was the ninth time she’s made at least two 3s in the same game. Twice, she’s made four from deep in a game.
