Anchorage’s Sierra Rosenzweig brings brains and brawn to the softball field.

The environmental engineering major at Massachusetts Institute of Technology crushed the first home run of her career against nationally ranked Rowan during a doubleheader in Glassboro, New Jersey.

The sophomore switch hitter homered, doubled and drove in three RBIs in a 6-6 tie in Game 2.

It’s only the second home run for MIT in 12 games, stretching 405 plate appearances.

Rosenzweig, of East High fame, is batting .300 in 11 games.
