Hampton powers Lane CC spikers to back-to-back wins in NWAC

Kaitlin Hampton of Anchorage is killing it for the Lane Community College volleyball team.

The 5-foot-9 outside hitter leads the NWAC school with 1.65 kills per set and is coming off a career-high .471 attack percentage.

Hampton, of West High fame, went 9-for-17 at the net with just one error against New Hope Christian College. She added nine digs to just miss a double-double.

The next night the sophomore hammered home eight kills on a a career-high 28 arm attempts in a four-set win over College of the Siskious.

Hampton is one of just five players in the NWAC’s eight-team South Region to average at least 1.5 kills per set, 1.5 digs per set and a .200 hitting percentage this season.
