Wasilla’s Ally Hull came to the soccer field with the mindset to be more aggressive and wound up having the greatest offensive night of her career.

The Concordia University sophomore midfielder netted two goals and added an assist to fuel a 4-1 win over Lake Forest College in NCAA D3 action in Mequon, Wisconsin.

“I haven’t taken too many shots the last couple of games and I wanted to take more shots this game,” she said in a school video about the game. “I definitely think I had good support behind me.”

Hull, of Wasilla High fame, got the scoring started in the 18th minute as she took the ball up the left side and buried her first goal of the season.

She added her second goal in the opening minutes of the second half and assisted on the final goal of the match.

After being held scoreless its previous two games, it must have been a relief for the Falcons to bury their chance.

“It’s nice to score some goals and have some fun,” Hull said. “The last couple games have been so stressful and not so much fun.”

Hull came in with one goal and one assist in 22 career games.

She also plays hockey for Concordia and was named Rookie of the Year last season after starting all 27 games and leading all freshmen in goals and points.
