Dinkins earns first sack, first safety on same play for Howard
In a college football game that featured more than 1,000 yards, the seemingly lone defensive play came from Saevon Dinkins of Anchorage.
The Howard University sophomore defensive end sacked the North Carolina Central quarterback in the end zone for a safety in the first quarter in a 40-35 loss in Durham, North Carolina.
Dinkins, East High fame, finished the game with two tackles.
The 6-foot-3, 265-pounder has recorded 20 tackles, a sack and a fumble recovery in 14 career games with the FCS team.
