Hale collects game-high 20 points, 6 dimes in first pro game
Picking up where she left off in college, Anchorage’s DaJonee Hale delivered a strong scoring effort to lead Bamberg to a 69-56 victory over Speyer in her first professional women’s basketball game in Germany’s second division.
Last season’s NAIA National Player of the Year out of Central Methodist University scored 20 points, grabbed six rebounds and added six assists in 34 minutes.
The 5-foot-8 playmaker made 7-of-19 shots from the field, including 4-of-10 from downtown.
Hale, of Houston High fame, is trying to get Bamberg back to the playoffs after finishing ninth in the league last year.
