Brown’s scoring spree continues, adds 50-point effort to ledger
Anchorage’s Kendal Brown is scoring at a ridiculous rate for Canada’s Crandall University.
The 6-foot-5 junior forward is averaging 26.6 points per game in 18 appearances and has put up season high scoring performances of 39, 46 and 50.
He has racked up a total of 478 points, with 60 percent of his output coming from 3-point land.
Brown, of West High fame, made a season-high 10-of-20 3s in last most recent game. It was the fifth time he’s made 9 or more 3s in one game.
He’s also collected seven double-doubles – six with points and rebounds, one with points and assists.
He scored a career-high 50 points in a 106-106 win over St. Thomas in overtime.
His jumper with 1:31 left in OT to give Crandall the lead for good at 106-105. One minute later he drained two free throws to extend the lead to 108-105.
Brown finished 17-of-39 from the field, 9-of-21 on 3-pointers and 7-for-7 from the charity stripe.
He added 10 rebounds, five assists and four steals in a do-everything effort.
