Bowman a Swami on the field (Football)
Anchorage’s Zack Bowman made a big play on Sunday Night Football, but it couldn’t save the depleted Chicago Bears.
Bowman, of Bartlett High fame, snared his second career interception in the third quarter, yet the Bears lost 21-14 to the Atlanta Falcons.
In a way, the Alaskan cornerback visualized picking off Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan and then went out and made it happen.
“One of our focuses of the second quarter of the season is getting more turnovers,” Bowman told the Chicago Tribune. “We talked about it again at halftime, and we came out and got two in the second half.”
Amazingly, it was only the second takeaway for the Chicago defense this year.
Of course, Bowman is no stranger to big plays. In six career NFL games, the 24-year-old has delivered two interceptions, a fumble recovery and a defensive touchdown.
