Alaskan Jay Hakkinen wants to prepare you for the World Cup experience.

And at the same time you can help prepare him for the 2010 Vancouver Olympics.

Hakkinen, a three-time Olympian from Kasilof, has put together a World Cup Survival Kit, a fan pack stuffed with an assortment of goodies, items and gifts from biathlon companies in Germany. You get it all for just a $30 donation, plus shipping cost.

“Every athlete appreciates support ranging from financial donations to being cheered up the hills during races,” Hakkinen said. “Both help me perform better, which I need in preparation for the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver.”

The limited edition survival kit contains, among other things, a T-shirt, biathlon accessories, German sausage (with mustard), tea and a button reading “I am on the Jay Team.” It also includes a surprise.
