Kelters keep Badgerin’ competition (Soccer)
Eagle River’s Alev Kelter and the Wisconsin women’s soccer team is off to its best start in the Big Ten in nearly a decade.
She is part of a balanced Badger attack that has seen seven different players net goals.
But Kelter is one of only two players with two goals.
The midfielder has started 12 of 13 matches for Wisconsin, which has cumulated seven points (2-1-1) in the Big Ten standings and is just one win from matching last year’s conference total (3-7-0).
Derya Kelter, also a freshman midfielder, has seen action in five matches.
If playing college soccer wasn’t enough, the sister act of Chugiak High fame will also play hockey for Wisconsin of the women’s WCHA.
