Just call him the microwave.

Alaskan Damen Bell-Holter didn’t take long to heat up last night, collecting 12 points in just 17 minutes to help Oral Roberts shock Stanford 83-81 on its home floor.

Roderick Pearson hit a running jumper as time expired to give the Golden Eagles (2-1) the stunning victory in the Cancun Challenge, a new, four-game staggered tournament in which teams play two games on campus now and two games in Mexico over Thanksgiving.

Bell-Holter, of Ketchikan High and Mount Edgecumbe fame, scored on 5-of-7 shooting, plus both free-throw attempts. He added five rebounds and one assist while not making a turnover.

He is fifth on the team with a 6.7 scoring average, despite tying for seventh in minutes (15.7).
