Boozer feasts on Bulls (Basketball)
It was all gravy for Carlos Boozer last night.
Boozer, of Juneau fame, bagged season-high totals of 28 points, 5 assists and 3 blocked shots, and shot a season-high 86 percent from the floor on 12-of-14 shooting, leading the Utah Jazz to an easy 105-86 home win over the Chicago Bulls on Thanksgiving.
The 6-foot-9 frontcourt bruiser resembled the 20-10 guy Boozer was from 2006 to 2008 before injuries slowed down the former Duke University All-American and NCAA champion, and a 2008 Alaska Sports Hall of Fame inductee.
“You can see he’s back to where he was a couple of years ago when he was an All-Star,” Utah point guard Deron Williams told reporters after the game.
