Will Egolf and the Bradley Braves hit the jackpot in Las Vegas.

Egolf, of Juneau fame, scored four of his career-high 12 points in a pivotal stretch last night that helped Bradley rally past No. 20 Illinois 72-68 at the 2009 HoopTV Las Vegas Invitational.

It’s the first time Bradley has beaten The Illini since 1974.

The historic upset didn’t look likely when Illinois built a seemingly comfortable 66-61 cushion with three minutes left. But then Egolf got busy, keying a decisive 7-0 run.

The 6-foot-9 sophomore center, who also grabbed a career-high 9 rebounds, scored back-to-back inside baskets before a teammate drilled a big 3-pointer. And away they were.

Egolf sank 6-of-9 shots and added three blocked shots in 28 minutes.
