Hardy looking to play spoiler (Football)

We may not have college football here, but Alaska still could have a hand in the BCS.

Thanks to Daniel Hardy.

The Anchorage receiver and his Idaho Vandals travel to No. 6 Boise State on Saturday.

An Idaho victory would solidify the team’s breakthrough season and in the process knock the Broncos out of the BCS picture.

If that’s going to happen, chances are Hardy will make a play.

The 6-foot-4 junior is third on the team in receptions (28) and second in yards (467), improving last year’s 9-128 totals. He’s also caught two touchdowns.

Last year against Boise State, the former walk-on turned scholarship starter hauled in that crazy 81-yard catch-and-run touchdown that made the SportsCenter Top Plays.

What’s in store this year?

You can watch Hardy (No. 88) on ESPNU (GCI channel 134) at 11:30 a.m. AST.
