After missing time in each of the last two seasons with a knee injury, Pacific Lutheran University volleyball star Kelcy Joynt stayed healthy for her senior season and put a hurtin’ on the opposition.

Joynt, of Colony High fame, bagged a boatload of postseason accolades, including AVCA Division III honorable mention All-America honors, to highlight an unbelievable run.

The 5-foot-9 middle blocker from Wasilla was also named Northwest Conference Player of the Year and selected to the ACVA All-West Region team.

She led the Lutes to a 20-7 record and a berth into the national tournament.

Joynt, 21, came back from knee surgery to average 3.28 kills and 3.04 digs per set in her final college season. She led the team with a .279 attack percentage and 26 aces.

The Alaskan is a communications major with a minor in sports psychology. She wants to work in the advertising or public relations industry after school.
