Rhea earns MVP honors (Basketball)

November 29, 2009
Talisa Rhea

The sign of a great player is being multi-dimensional.

Take Talisa Rhea for example.

One game she’s draining 6-of-9 threes en route to a 25-point night against Belmont, the next she’s showing off her playmaking ability with 7 assists against Northern Arizona.

Her do-it-all talents led to her being named the Most Valuable Player of the 2009 NAU Thanksgiving Classic in Flagstaff, Ariz. She finished with 31 points and 9 assists in two victories.

Rhea, of Juneau fame, leads the 4-1 Beavers in scoring (12.6), 3-pointers (9) and minutes (29.6).
