Boozer named Player of the Week (Basketball)

Utah Jazz All-Star Carlos Boozer of Juneau was named NBA Western Conference Player of the Week.
The 6-foot-9 forward averaged 26.7 points, 13.7 rebounds and 3.7 assists in three games last week, helping the Jazz go 2-1.
The Alaska Hall of Famer sank 63 percent of his shots during that time.
His top performance was a 35-point, 13-rebound effort against the Indiana Pacers.
Boozer made himself an early candidate for this week’s award, pumping in 27 points with 7 rebounds and 5 assists in Monday’s 104-101 victory over the San Antonio Spurs.
