Bowman shines for ‘Da Bears (Football)
December 9, 2009

Ever since the Chicago Bears lost All-Pro linebacker Brian Urlacher to a season-ending injury in the first game of the year, the Monsters of the Midway have been searching for a defensive sparkplug.
Enter Anchorage’s Zack Bowman.
Bowman, of Bartlett High fame, has blossomed into a dependable defensive back and emerged as a bright spot for the Bears in just his second season on the job.
The 6-foot-1 cornerback leads the team with four interceptions—the fourth-highest total in the NFL—and ranks third in pass deflections (5). He also has 50 tackles (45 solo) and one forced fumble.
Bowman now has five career picks in just 13 games.
