Griffin gets best of Bullock (Basketball)
It was billed as a Saturday showdown between the University of Nebraska and the University of Miami, two 7-0 women’s teams from BCS conferences.
But in Alaska that meant Kelsey Griffin vs. Sylvia Bullock.

Chalk this one up to the current Cornhuskers and former Chugiak High Mustangs star.
Griffin, a 6-foot-2 senior All-American candidate from Eagle River, delivered 13 points and 9 rebounds to key Nebraska’s 76-71 win in Coral Gables, Fla.
Griffin, a two-time All-Big 12 selection, sank 6 of 13 field goals and 1 of 2 free throws. She also had 2 steals and a blocked shot to offset 5 turnovers in 24 minutes.

Bullock, a 6-foot-2 sophomore starter from Anchorage, grabbed 6 rebounds and scored 2 points in just 15 minutes.
The former all-state forward from Service and Sough High battled foul trouble, limiting her playing time. Two weeks ago she set the school record with 8 blocked shots in a win against the University of Houston.
You would think today’s win would vault unbeaten Nebraska into the top-25 NCAA rankings.
