December 12, 2009

University of Wisconsin two-sport standout Alev Kelter is back at it again.
Just a couple weeks after helping the Wisconsin women’s soccer team advance to the NCAA Tournament, the Eagle River product is helping the Badgers excel on the ice.
Kelter, of Chugiak High fame, assisted in Friday’s 3-0 victory over host Minnesota State-Mankato in women’s WCHA action. The freshman defender also fired four shots on goal, the second most on the team.
It was the first point Kelter has registered in five games this season. She also has 10 shots, two penalty minutes and a +3 rating.
The victory extended Wisconsin’s season-high five-game unbeaten streak and improved the nationally ranked Badgers to 11-5-3 on the season.
