German league proving tough for Arts (Basketball)

Life is good in Germany for Carl Arts.
Well, minus the losing.
Arts, of Valdez fame, is having fun and playing well for his new club, the Langen Giraffes of the German second division, averaging 10.5 points and 6.5 rebounds in 23 minutes.
But …
“The team is really cool and everyone gets along with each other,” Arts told me today. “But we don’t win very much. We’ve only won once since I’ve been here, so we’re at the bottom of the ladder.”
The 6-foot-5 former UAA All-American came to Germany earlier this month after a stint in Australia, where he averaged 29.4 points and 14.9 rebounds for the Southern Peninsula Sharks.
“It’s different from Australia because there are more Americans on the team and that takes a lot of the pressure off of you,” Arts said. “Also because there are more Americans on each team in the league the competition is a lot better than that of the Aussie league I played in last year.”
