Bradley rewards Egolf with victory (Basketball)
Few Bradley University basketball players have performed at a higher level in 2010 than Will Egolf.
The 6-foot-9 sophomore center from Juneau has bagged double figures in four of his team’s six games since the calendar change, his best offensive stretch of his young college career.
Only problem was his production wasn’t adding up to wins.
On Saturday, though, everything came together. Egolf scored a career-high 14 points on 7-of-11 shooting and, best of all, the Braves were victorious after knocking off conference opponent Missouri State 74-56 in Peoria, Ill.
Egolf is averaging 7.1 points a game this season, although he’s been good for 9.3 over his last half dozen.
It was just the second win in the last six games for Bradley (8-9).
