Eagle River’s Kelsey Griffin is the model of consistency.
The University of Nebraska All-American candidate delivered her sixth straight double-double to lead the No. 6 Huskers to an 89-47 beatdown of Texas Tech on Wednesday.
Griffin, of Chugiak High fame, scored 20 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as Nebraska won for the first time in Lubbock stretching eight meetings. It was also her 10th double-double of the season and the 30th in 110 career games.
Nebraska (18-0) climbed into the top-10 for the first time and doesn’t appear to be over its head.
“We honestly say that when we don’t know what our ranking is, or we don’t care, we honestly mean it,” Griffin told reporters. “We know we’re far from perfect. We have a lot of work to do.”
