Bullock nets double digits for the ‘U’ (Basketball)
After recently losing her job as starting forward for the University of Miami, Sylvia Bullock of Anchorage took out her frustrations on Southern Illinois-Edwardsville.
Bullock, of South High fame, was a perfect 5-for-5 from the field and scored a career-high 11 points in an 80-65 win Monday in Coral Gables. The 6-foot-2 sophomore also grabbed three rebounds and blocked a shot in 17 minutes.
The 11 points matched her total from the previous five games combined.
The Alaskan has started 21 of 23 games this season, although she has come off the bench in the last two.
Overall, Bullock is averaging 4.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.2 blocked shots per game for Hurricanes (16-7).
