Cousin helps Butler win league title (Basketball)

Butler Community College clinched a share of its first conference championship since 2001 and freshman Anthony Cousin of Anchorage is a big reason why.
Cousin, of South High fame, scored 10 points Wednesday night to help the Grizzlies of El Dorado, Kan., crush Cloud Country 85-60 at home for their 12th straight NJCAA victory.
A win Saturday would give Butler the outright championship in the Jayhawk West Conference.
Butler is 25-4 overall and 13-2 in league, matching totals of the 2001 team with one game in hand. The 12 wins in a row matches the school record for consecutive wins in conference play.
Cousin, the runner-up for the Alaska Player of the Year in 2008, is averaging 11 points a game, although the 5-foot-11 speedster has scored as many as 27 in a game this year.
