Anchorage’s Anthony Cousin bagged double figures again and this time it helped Butler Community College take sole possession of second place in the Jayhawk West League.

Butler beat Dodge City 60-55 Monday for the team’s sixth straight victory, with Cousin matching his season average with 11 points.

Cousin, of South High fame, scored 16 points two days earlier to key an 84-74 upset of No. 22 Seward County.

The 5-foot-11 Alaskan leads the team in free-throw percentage (.780) and ranks second in scoring (11.7) and third in field-goal percentage (.630).

Butler (19-4) is one game behind Hutchinson for the league lead going into Wednesday’s NJCAA game against Garden City, the team’s third game in less than a week.
