Devine slowly coming back to form (Basketball)
March 23, 2010

Eagle River’s Chris Devine apparently is healing faster than expected from a recent injury because his playing time with his professional Belgium basketball team keeps growing.
In his third game since his return the 6-foot-9 Alaskan logged 21 minutes and scored nine points over the weekend to help VOO Verviers-Pepinster’s 86-84 victory over M. Hainaut, the same team that beat Pepinster two months ago with Devine.
Devine, a Chugiak High grad and member of the UC Santa Barbara All-Decade Team, made 4 of 8 field goals and 1 of 2 free throws. He added three rebounds.
Devine’s team has a 13-9 record in the country’s top league, one game back of second-place Charleroi, which Pepinser plays Saturday.
