Langdon helps CSKA earn Game 1 win (Basketball)

Anchorage’s Trajan Langdon got the upper hand today in Game 1 of his team’s Euroleague quarterfinal playoff series against fellow Alaskan Brad Oleson and Spanish power Caja Laboral.
Two-time champion CSKA Moscow took an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-5 series after a commanding 86-63 home win in a game that was never really close after the first quarter.
Langdon, of East High fame, started and scored 11 points on 4-of-7 shooting in 27 minutes. He bagged six of his team’s first 17 points.
The 33-year-old shooting guard is seeking his sixth career trip to the Euroleague Finals.

Olseon, of North Pole fame, came off the bench to score six points in 13 minutes. He made 2 of 3 field goals and his only free-throw attempt.
The 26-year-old Euroleague rookie is coming off a nagging ankle injury that basically sidelined him the entire season. He came back about a month ago and seems to be getting back to form nicely.
The two Alaska shooting guards were on the court at the same time during parts of the game.
Game 2 is set for Thursday in Moscow.
