After losing Game 1 on its home court, Maccabi Electra and Alaskan Doron Perkins faced a must win against Serbian visitors Partizan today in Tel Aviv.

Things looked dicey after the first quarter as the homeboys led by only a deuce.

But then everything changed after a big second quarter, carrying Maccabi to a 98-78 win in Game 2.

Perkins, of Anchorage fame, was his usual stat-stuffing self, bagging 10 points, five rebounds, four assists and one steal.

He had his driving game in full gear, drawing six fouls and going 5 of 6 from the free-throw line.

Want proof of the impact Perkins has on his team? The Alaskan is a finalist for All-Euroleague honors despite being a backup point guard.

To quote the poet Delonte West, ‘How playa is that?’
