Western Conference rewards Boozer (Basketball)
The Western Conference is considered to be superior in the NBA and that means Carlos Boozer of the Utah Jazz was king in February.
Or at least he was honored with The King.
Boozer joined Eastern Conference superstar LeBron James as NBA Players of the Month, the league announced today.
Boozer, of Juneau-Douglas fame, led the conference with 13.0 rebounds and added 21.2 points on 60 percent shooting from the floor, leading the Jazz to a 10-3 record in the month.
Some of the February highlights for the 6-foot-9 forward included the 22-point, 23-rebound effort against Portland in a game where he drained a tying buzzer-beater to force OT and complete his team’s 25-point, second-half comeback.
This is the second time Boozer has earned Player of the Month bragging rights.
