After dropping the first game of its Israeli League semifinal series, perennial power Maccabi Tel Aviv needed a spark against upset-minded Bnei Hasharon.
Enter Doron Perkins.
The 6-foot-2 Anchorage guard swooped in like Superman to save the season.
Perkins, of Bartlett High fame, enjoyed another big game last night in Game 3 with a 21-point, 6-rebound, 6-assist effort that was Rondo-esque.
The 104-82 runaway road win gave Maccabi a 2-1 edge in the best-of-5 series.
The Israeli juggernaut is shooting for its 49th league championship. What better than a player from the 49th state to lead the way?
