Never a dull moment with Madden (Baseball)
August 10, 2010

The rollercoaster lifestyle of a closer continues to provide Corey Madden with lots and ups and downs.
Three days after getting the save for the Jupiter Hammerheads, he suffered the loss tonight in a 2-1 setback to Fort Myers in Class A+ Florida State League.
Madden, of East High fame, was charged with an unearned run in the eighth inning after a runner scored from third on a passed ball. It wasn’t like he was totally innocent; he gave up a leadoff double.
But still.
It’s the second time in five appearances that a teammate has cost Madden.
The Alaska right-hander has a 1-4 record with 5 saves and a 4.28 ERA in 40 innings this season.
