The name Stephen Murphy-Logue should resonate with Alaskans by now.
After all, the Anchorage 21-year-old is the state’s more prolific playmaker at the college level with 13 career goals.
The rugged 6-foot-3 senior forward found the net twice in a game for the first time tonight to help No. 15 Macalester College, a NCAA D3 school in St. Paul, Minn., cruise to a 4-0 victory over Cornell College.
Murphy-Logue, of West High fame, now has 5 goals and 2 assists for 12 points in nine matches this year.
Macalester improved to 7-1-1 overall.
The Alaska midfielder, nicknamed ‘Moose,’ has matched his goal total from all of last season when he was named team MVP.
