Never mind Waldo, where’s Mario? (Basketball)

If you’re wondering why Anchorage’s Mario Chalmers hasn’t played for the Miami Heat this season it’s because of that nagging ankle injury.
Chalmers, a third-year NBA point guard out of Bartlett High, suffered a high ankle sprain two months ago that has kept him mostly on the sidelines.
And even though he played in the preseason and has been in uniform for each of the first two games of the regular season, he is still not ready to play.
But his time is coming.
Heat coach Erik Spoelstra just doesn’t know when.
“It’ll change, hopefully, sooner than later,” he told the South Florida Sun Sentinel. “When we all feel like he’s absolutely 100-percent ready to play, he’ll step into a role.
“How much that will be? I don’t know. It will depend on the game, the pace of the game, the speed of the game. It’s going to be a process.”
UPDATE: Chalmers saw action in his first game tonight in a 96-70 win over the Orlando Magic.
