Alaska NFL players on the mend (Football)

Daryn Colledge

Two-thirds of the Alaskans in the NFL might not be on the field Sunday.

North Pole’s Daryn College of the Green Bay Packers is at risk to miss his first game since his days at Boise State.

Colledge, 28, is nursing a bad back and didn’t practice Thursday, but don’t rule him out just yet. After all, the 6-foot-4, 308-pounder has played in 127 straight games dating back to college.

He’s the Brett Favre of offensive lineman, which is funny because he used to block for Favre.

Zak Bowman

Anchorage’s Zack Bowman hoped to return for the Chicago Bears, but it doesn’t look good.

Bowman, 25, is still getting treatment for a sprained foot that kept him out of last week’s game.

The 6-foot-1, 195-pound cornerback hasn’t missed a game since his rookie season.

Last year Bowman had a team-high 7 interceptions.
