Johnson scores career best 11 (Basketball)
In high school, Wasilla’s Jenna Johnson was a double-figure scorer waiting to happen.
Yet she was still waiting for it to happen in college – until tonight.
Johnson’s wait ended with the 5-foot-10 sophomore delivering double figures for the first time in her Utah State University career in a 66-54 win over Weber State in Ogden. It was Utah State’s first win in four tries.
The former Alaska player of the year started at guard and scored a career-high 11 points on 4-of-6 shooting. She added 3 assists and 3 steals in 26 minutes.
Johnson is averaging 5 points and 2.4 rebounds in 18.6 minutes per game, vast improvements from her freshman season.
